| "A child will never remember everything you taught them, but they will never forget how you treated them." KINDERGARTEN CLASS ENVIRONMENT My number one goal of our classroom is for every child to feel safe, to feel comfortable, to feel cared about and to feel successful and smart. I recognize and value the importance of a child's first experience in school. I anticipate that this year will be one of fun filled academic growth and positive lasting memories for all of us. Manners, kindness and teamwork are extremely important characteristics. Not only will I always use my manners, share my kindness and work together with everyone in our class I will expect the same from each child. I view "Character Building" as a life skill and I will focus on it each day throughout the year. Our classroom reflects real teaching and learning. Our curriculum incorporates all of the language processes in meaningful context using a well-rounded and balanced approach that recognizes the importance of purposeful learning. I always encourage children to see themselves as successful readers, writers and problems solvers. I value the process as well as the product and I understand that all children are unique individuals. My teaching process is based on what I know about how children learn. I will always recognize each child's unique qualities and I will always do my best to help them succeed. I want each child to recognize and know they matter and are important.
