| The library at Imagination Station was created to expose children to the environment of a school based library. The children check out a book each week to take home and share with their families. Families are responsible for returning the book each week prior to checking out a new one. During library time the children are exposed to library appropriate behaviors and opportunities to participate in literacy based activities in a fun age appropriate environment. The Librarian selects a theme each week during the month and bases the activities in the library around these. The children listen to a story and then participate in age appropriate activities to enhance the literacy component of the story. The library schedule for your child is as follows: Tuesday Monkeys Frogs Kindergarten Thursday Pandas Ducks Koalas Wednesday Art Day Monkeys Frogs Kindergarten On this day our Librarian will be exposing the children to a variety of art techniques and styles to broaden their imaginations and creativity. All books should be returned prior to the next library each week in order for the children to check out a new book. |
