Positive thinking isn't always the answer! My journey through cancer was a very scary thing. When faced with a death sentence terror usually presents itself and I found I would do anything to escape that feeling of being so out of control and not knowing what the future would bring - the fear of death was always lurking in the background.During my healing journey I accessed the Root Cause of what created the cancer and it has been a gradual process releasing fear and terror from many lifetimes. The psyche wouldn't handle releasing it all at once as it is just too much for the body to handle. Every time we heal some aspect of ourselves our physiology changes; our cells and genes transform and the body has a lot to do to adapt to these changes. It can be tiring, we can feel nauseous and even develop flu like symptoms. We can become worse before we get better. This is what is called a healing crisis and is all part of the detoxification process.Healing is continuous and life brings us opportunities to grow and heal. We don't need to go looking for them.Last week I was triggered continuously by events in my own life and world events. I purposefully didn't watch the news as the horrific fire in London deeply upset me. I tried to rationalise these fears that had been building all week and change my thoughts to positive ones ....... it just wasn't working.Come Friday I was a mess, I felt irrationally fearful about everything and a huge cloud of depression hung over me. This was such a foreign feeling and I didn't know how to handle it.So I didn't.I sat with these feelings all day. I acknowledged them and gave them permission to be here. I allowed the fear, anger, sadness, hopelessness, helplessness and terror come up. I didn't attach any story to them just simply watching them come and go.The next morning when I woke I felt like. Huge weight had been lifted, I felt excited and had a new zest for life.Emotions are energy in motion and if not felt get stuck in the body. #letthemgo #ownyouremotions #welcomeyouremotions #challenges #opportunitiesforgrowth
