Some of my worst workouts have come after being lackadaisical with my warmup. However, I can say without a doubt that every personal best that I’ve ever achieved came following a diligent warmup process. #More important than the actual training session is making it through the session without injury. Priming your movement patterns along with the central nervous system doesn’t guarantee you won’t tweak something, but it will lower that possibility because you’ve tuned into posture and positioning ahead of time. #A few things to consider within your warmup routine is breathing patterns for the coming workout, trunk/core stabilization, active range of motion in the joints that control the primary movers, and increasing blood flow (hence, the term warmup). If I can help with fine tuning your warmup routine just let me know! 💪🏾
