We no longer live in district so I have switched up my schedule a bit since I have to wait an hour after school to get my kids before heading home. My morning runs have turned into afternoon runs, and I zero time to take a picture. Plus, there are a zillion people around waiting to pick up their kids. I’m too embarrassed to stand in the parking lot taking selfies. So this is what you get. Can I say how much I dislike afternoon runs? My stomach always hurts all night long after an afternoon run, and I don’t know why. Does this happen to anyone else? It doesn’t matter how little or much I eat, it always hurts. In the morning I have zero issues, but waking up at 3:30 when I have an hour to waste in the afternoon seems pointless to me.

And all the other races I wanted are over drill weekends. So change of plans. I plan on doing multiple halfs this upcoming spring - all new races I've never ran before. With my injury, I don't plan on going for a PR, just trying to finish around 2 hrs. Not sure when my next full will be. Knowing me I'll change my mind and find a new one soon.But enough of my pity party, off to lift. Tomorrow might possibly be my first day back from this injury. Fingers crossed!

runningwithkatie photos download#throwbackthursday โœจ 2 years ago I ran 13 miles for the first time (left photo), with my parents riding alongside and having to have a break halfway through. 2 years later (right photo) and the half marathon distance is my favourite. Within 2 years I've ran 10 half marathons and 2 marathons. Within 2 years I've improved my half marathon PB from 2:06 to 1:51 and taken 25 minutes off my marathon PB. I'm so thankful for my running journey and I can't wait to improve even more ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผ‍โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’œ

britt_m_runs photos downloadI was talking to someone and they said "well you're an ultra runner." My first reaction was to correct them and say that I wasn't, but I paused..... I realised that even though I'm training for a 100 miler, I've had multiple training runs over 26 miles, and I just ran about a 50 mile long run, I still don't see myself as an ultra runner. Will it ever sink in? Will I ever realize that I really have done the things I've done? Or will I continue to think that it was someone else? Do you guys experience this? Does it ever seem real?
